Instructions
**Start to prepare**
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Add Wet Ingredients:
Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed until the batter is smooth. Don’t overmix.
- Boiling Water Magic:
Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing on low speed. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay. It’ll result in a moist cake. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Bake:
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Make the Chocolate Ganache:
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just starts to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and let it sit for a minute. Stir until smooth. Add the butter and stir until melted and well combined.
- Assemble the Cake:
Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of chocolate ganache on top. Place the second layer on top and cover the entire cake with the remaining ganache.
- Enjoy:
Let the ganache set for a bit before slicing. Serve and savor the rich, moist goodness of this indulgent double chocolate cake. Perfect for any chocolate lover
